What Families Say

Experiences Shared Directly

"My mother has dementia and nights had become very difficult for our whole family. Since Evershore's night aide started, she's calmer in the mornings and my father is actually sleeping again. The aide is patient and calm, exactly what she needs."

LC

Lin Chun-Mei

Daughter, Wenshan District · Feb 2025

"We were hesitant at first — my father didn't want strangers in the house. Evershore was understanding about that. They took time with the introduction, and he came around more quickly than we expected. The aide they matched him with has a similar personality. That mattered."

Son, Da'an District · Jan 2025

"The weekend respite changed my relationship with caregiving completely. Before, I was exhausted every Monday. Now I get actual rest, and I come back more present for my mother. It sounds simple, but it was a significant shift for our family."

Huang Ya-Ting

Primary Caregiver, Neihu District · Feb 2025

"Our grandmother is on the Premium Holistic program. The coordinator calls regularly without us needing to follow up. When her blood pressure reading looked unusual one week, we were informed the same day and they had already noted it in the care log. That kind of attentiveness was what we were hoping for."

WH

Wang Hsiu-Chen

Granddaughter, Zhongzheng District · Mar 2025

"I live in Singapore and my father lives alone in Taipei. Evershore has been a way for me to feel connected to his care from a distance. The coordinator sends a brief summary each week and answers questions reliably. It's not a perfect solution for the distance, but it's given me a lot of peace of mind."

Chuang Jia-Jun

Son (overseas) · Jan 2025

"My mother-in-law was reluctant to have help, but the aide was so quiet and unobtrusive at first that she gradually accepted her presence. Six months later she considers her a friend. I didn't think that would happen. It's a big difference from the alternatives we looked at."

Detailed Experiences

How Care Made a Difference

Challenge

A 78-year-old retired engineer with early Parkinson's was living alone. His daughter in Taichung could only visit monthly and was worried about falls and missed medications.

Solution

Enrolled in Nighttime Monitoring, later upgraded to Premium Holistic Care. Primary aide assigned with mobility training background.

Outcome

Zero medication misses over 8 months. One early fall alert flagged by aide before it became a serious injury. Daughter visits Taichung with significantly less anxiety.

Duration: 8 months · Service: Holistic Care

Challenge

A couple in their 70s — both active but the husband recovering from hip surgery. The wife was providing all care herself and showing signs of exhaustion.

Solution

Weekend Respite for two months during the recovery period, allowing the wife consistent rest from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.

Outcome

The husband completed physiotherapy on schedule. The wife's wellbeing visibly improved. After his recovery, the family continued with occasional weekend coverage when she travelled.

Duration: 3 months · Service: Weekend Respite

Challenge

An 84-year-old woman with moderate dementia had been waking multiple times each night, disoriented and distressed. Her family was sleeping in shifts, which wasn't sustainable.

Solution

Nighttime Monitoring five nights per week. Aide experienced with dementia behaviours. Calm, familiar responses to nighttime disorientation.

Outcome

Nighttime disturbance episodes reduced significantly within 6 weeks. Family sleeping through most nights. General household atmosphere noticeably less strained.

Duration: Ongoing · Service: Nighttime Monitoring
